What is Liar Game?
Liar Game is a concept devised from a Japanese manga and drama series. You need not be familiar with it, however: the concept is that of a sinister and far-reaching organisation catching people in a high-stakes tournament, forcing them to betray, trick and backstab one another for the promise of winning a fortune. It's worth reading, but it's not a prerequisite.
Is there a prize attached to this Carnival?
The short answer is No.
What's the long answer?
Nooooooooo.
That's all you've got to say? Why are you running this at all?
The Carnival is an intermission between two tournaments. One ended in June, the other opens in July (applications opening sooner!) For the time being, these games are here to keep people flexing their brain muscles.
But we will say this: it may prove worthwhile putting your A-game into this Carnival. Who knows how it might pay off when we're recruiting people for next time?
I didn't play in the previous tournament, though....
That's fine. We welcome new faces as much as old hands. Where would we be without freshmeat players?
I hear the next tournament has a cash prize?
We have never said that. If you heard that from somebody, it is not a statement that had ever been endorsed by us.
So why are you running it?
We wish to crown the true King of Liars. What greater accolade than to be proven proficient at logic, psychology and social engineering?
If this is a Carnival, where are the rides?
If you are not logged in, you can only see the Ticket Gate. Come closer! Don't be shy! Create an account, and join us.
Cool. Now what?
Sign in to the introductions thread. Then come to the Box Office and request your tickets. We will give them to you. When you ask to play a game, we will debit you accordingly. Please play to win! You never know what you might get!
Are the rides safe?
Yes. We at the Liar Game Tournament would never breach Health & Safety regulations.
What about the next tournament?
You'll hear about it here. Don't worry.
What if I have any more questions?
Ask them here.
